Hello Wagga!
Can you hear that?! It’s the sweet sound of… Nothing!
As you can see, we made it to Wagga! Actually, we’re south of Wagga at Yerong Creek staying with a friend Andrew on a beautiful big property! I actually met Andrew on the train ride to work 5+ years ago in my old life as a stressed out IT tech and am super grateful that he’s not only offered us somewhere to park up and get some work done to the car but also leant us a car so we can get around! See, it pays to chat to strangers on trains!
Speaking of getting around, we had some more dramas on the way here yesterday with the gearbox going into a “default mode” due to an electrical problem, likely just bad wiring, but investigating that is future Cam’s problem. This meant that the gearbox was stuck in 3rd, making taking off from traffic lights and roundabouts an interesting task indeed…
But after a stressful day (and fortnight!) all of my worries seemed to evaporate as we unhitched, watched the sunset, took Jaiden for a ride on the back of the ute and sat around chatting and playing pool last night. Whilst it feels like such an emotional rollercoaster ride at times, the good far outweigh the bad and often all it takes is something simple like some fresh country air, a lovely view and good company to put it all back into perspective.
Life is good my friends, life is good.
